What time is your service? 

Our worship service is at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings. We welcome you to join us for Sunday School at 8:45 am in the Fellowship Hall.

Where do I go on Sunday morning when I arrive? 

Turning into the church parking lot you may park where you like, and come in from either of two entrances. The side entrance is adjacent to the main parking area; when you come into this entrance, you will go through the glass doors are where an usher will direct you to the appropriate area.  The other entrance is in the front of the building, and this entrance takes you directly into our sanctuary where our Sunday service is held.  

Where do I take my children? 

Children who are in three years old and up will go to the worship service with you.  

Nursery through three years of age are cared for during the worship service by our loving and trained staff. The nursery is located in the administrative and classroom area. One of our ushers would be glad to take you there.

What are St. Luke's services like?

We want every person who visits St. Luke to leave encouraged. It is a time to visit with friends and gain practical teaching from God's Word. Our worship services can be described as a blended style.  This means that in a typical service, we will sing 1 or 2 traditional hymns while incorporating modern songs.  We intentionally incorporate the best of our history as an African American Baptist Church and the best of modern music and methods in our services.  

 

What kind of people attend St. Luke?

We are an inter-generational African American church with people from every background imaginable. We accept people wherever they are in life, so our Church is filled with people just like you.  St. Luke is a church that affirms the love of Christ and proclaims that we are a church for everyone!

 

What is appropriate to wear to church?

Come as you are! The dress ranges from casual to professional.

 

What kind of music can I expect at St. Luke?

Our musicians play a wide variety of music.  We incorporate the very best of traditional hymns, gospel and contemporary music in order to design an engaging worship experience that helps you connect with God in a meaningful way. St. Luke offers a wide variety of choirs, ensembles and arts, accompanied by our musicians.

What do I have to do to join St. Luke?

St. Luke invites you to worship with us in order to experience who we are and when you are ready to move forward in joining with St. Luke, you are invited to attend our New Member Class.  This class is designed to help you learn more about St. Luke's beliefs, strategy, structure, and vision.  It is also a great way to meet other people who are interested in learning about St. Luke.
